Kyra Minturn
KyraMinturn Sedgwick, born August 19, 1965 is an American actress. Her most well-known role is her role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received the Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. The show ended on August 13, 2012, following the completion of its seventh season. Sedgwick is also remembered for her recurring character as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance on Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's other roles in films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992) as well as Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born in New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who works as a speech and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick as a venture investor.
